ESCOBEDO COUNSELING SERVICES

IT’S TIME TO FIND joy IN LIFE AGAIN

MEET DANNETTE ESCOBEDO, COUNSELOR IN LITTLETON & ONLINE ACCROSS COLORADO

HI! I’M so glad YOU ARE HERE.

From a young age I wanted to know what made people “tick”. I was filled with endless questions about how the world worked and why people lived various lifestyles. Thankfully my parents were very patient and tried to answer my curiosities.

When I entered my adolescence I experienced challenging events, trauma and heartache. At times didn’t know if I had the the strength to carry on. I was fortunate to have parents who sought therapy for me.

Through the supportive relationship in counseling and learning coping skills, I emerged into young adulthood with the goal to “make lemons out of lemonade”. I decided to follow my innate wonder of humans and become a mental health therapist.

As life has continued to present with ups and downs, I have sought my own personal therapy to deepen my authenticity, healing, and life purpose. While life is not always “lemonade”, and it can be downright sour sometimes, I practice gratitude and mindfulness to live a balanced life.

Today, I am fortunate to work with people from all walks of life and to hear their rich stories of triumph over pain. I put my whole heart into my work to connect with each person to create healing.

I believe each of us is on a lifelong journey to discover ourselves and our place in the world.

Dannette Escobedo, MA, LPC (she/her/hers)

On a personal note, I am very proud to be a third generation Denver Native. I am happily married with two small daughters, one in first grade and the other a toddler. My spouse and I are in an interracial marriage, he is Latino and I am white. Our lives are rich with cultural experiences and teaching our daughters about their heritage.

My hobbies include cooking, watching stand-up comedy, and playing with my girls. I love music, especially rock (indie, punk, grunge and shoegaze) and go to concerts as much as possible. I have quite the green thumb, and during the summer can be found in my garden picking fresh veggies and herbs for dinner.

My family loves the outdoors, and we enjoy camping and long drives in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I also enjoy traveling— my Zen is finding a great beach to relax and unwind.
